We talked about Gaia last time. Gaia is a street artist born in New York City. He creates wheatpastes and take hold of the new york streets. His distinct black and white linoleum prints can be seen all over Manhattan, and the surrounding boroughs. His images range from the innocent faces of small children, to different animals like large roaring bears. He’s a bit of an artist-of-the-moment, and prints of his that were for sale at a recent exhibition at Ad Hoc Art in Bushwick sold out. Aside from him, try Elbowtoe, Judith Supine, Faile, Swoon and the robot-obsessed Stickman.
Beautiful street art discipline : Wheat pastes and prints… enjoy some pictures
ElBow Toe ’s wheatpaste
Sick of the political art of Obey for Obama… bullshit!? He puts his Obama wheatpaste on graffiti and various pieces… Fuck it! There’s a war going on outside hahah…
As Gaïa said : “not in the street” find an other medium for your weak political art…
