The London Olympic Games start today! Here's a new thematic graffiti pictures selection: Sport and Graffiti. May the best one win!
Graffiti artists don't only train and exercise by running off from the police or rail security. They also do a few jump shots and bounce passes between two painting sessions on basketball courts.
There is an obvious and remarkable attraction to sports in general in wall paintings and specially for basketball and the legendary Michael Jordan. Coincidence? Not at all. Since it's beginnings, graffiti always evolved as a tandem with basketball in the New-York playgrounds.
But of course, as you can see here, other sports are also represented nowadays.
On this inauguration day for the Summer Olympics, here is a selection of paintings around this specific theme.
