On May 12th,  Fabien Castanier Gallery in Los Angeles celebrated the opening of  FRENCH INVASION, appropriately titled as it featured work by  Speedy Graphito, JonOne, Nasty, Rero and Tilt. The gallery space was filled with all new work by each artist, including paintings, installations, silkscreens and even a giant spray can sculpture by Speedy Graphito. The evening was rounded out by a live painting session on a collaborative mural with surprise participation from SEEN and Sket One.

FRENCH INVASION highlights the differences in media, context, audiences and issues that these artists maintain both on the street and in the art market. Common to all these artists is their investment in the streets of Paris during the past decade but also their evolution in galleries in France and abroad.  In honor of FRENCH INVASION, a limited edition collaborative print has been produced to raise funds for Inner-City Arts in downtown Los Angeles. There are a few still available, so please contact the gallery directly.
