FatCap presents the The Estria Foundation's 5th Annual Estria Invitational Graffiti Battle, going down in New York, Los Angeles, Honolulu & Oakland. The first round of battles kicks off in New York on Saturday, July 16th, in conjunction with the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. Want to get in on the competition?
How it Works
As you may recall from our recap article last year - Come to Conquer - the battles are based on a word or theme announced the day of the battle. Each artist is given a specific amount of time and paint to put together a complete piece using that word The entrants are then judged, and the winners are chosen. From each battle, the first and second place artists are flown to Oakland for the final competition and access to the entire graffiti festival in October. On top of all this?
